For the exhibition Freeing Architecture, conceived specially for the Fondation Cartier, Ishigami reveals twenty of his architectural projects in Asia and in Europe. These projects will be presented through a series of large-scale models, accompanied by films and drawings, which document their different stages of conception and construction. In dialogue with Jean Nouvel’s iconic building, this event is also the first large-scale solo-show that the Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain has devoted to an architect.
The Nomadic Nights invite artists from the lively and contemporary art scene to make theirs the exhibition spaces and the garden of the Fondation Cartier.
The Nights of Uncertainty bring together artists, scientists, and intellectuals, who have public discussions and resonate with the current exhibition, its protagonists, and the questions it raises.
As part of the Junya Ishigami Freeing Architecture exhibit, Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain is offering family and educational tours plus art workshops for kids ages 7 through 12. They all offer a chance to discover the Fondation Cartier, the exhibit spaces and the artwork on display.
