EXHIBITION

Southern Geometries, from Mexico to Patagonia
October 14, 2018 > February 24, 2019

With the exhibition Southern Geometries, from Mexico to Patagonia, the Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain celebrates the wealth and colors of the motifs, forms and gures present in Latin American art. From popular to abstract art, from ceramics to body painting, sculpture, architecture and wickerwork, this exhibition plunges visitors to the heart of Latin American geometric abstraction, from the Pre-Colombian period to more contemporary creations.

NOMADIC NIGHTS + NIGHTS OF UNCERTAINTY

The Nomadic Nights and Nights of Uncertainty continue their exploration of the performing arts, combining disciplines and encounters. An Andean festival, a Night of Geometry, Amerindian dances threatened with extinction, an immersive installation in the forests of Paraguay, indigenous myths and legends, as well as performances and Object Theater are just some of the accompanying events and activities for the exhibition Southern Geometries, from Mexico to Patagonia.

ACTIVITIES FOR CHILDREN

For the exhibition Southern Geometries, from Mexico to Patagonia, the Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain offers family activities, visits and creative workshops for children from 6 to 13 years.
